Im having problems....
i flashed my hitachi drive from 360 mods.net
its the ixtreme 1.4 firmware
and i downloaded this torrent
and extracted the .dvd and the iso file from "Mercenaries 2.part 01"
and then i used IMGburn to burn on a blank 8.5gb Memorex DVD+R DL single sided disk
and when i put it in my xbox it says "reading" 4 about 30 sec and then it says "Unplayable disc"
so i burned it again and the same thing happened!

do u know whats the problem?

When you burn a backup it must be on a Verbatim DVD +r DL disk manufactured in singapore. I cant burn a memorex disk either.
Verbatim has the highest success rate. Try Newegg.com for a descent price.

Verbatim is not necessary i have used all kinds of media (hp/memorex/sony) and have had success; however, there are certain memorex disks that would not work for me.Sometimes it is hard to tell whether you are getting the good memorex or not because i bought the same brand from the same store but they were ones manufactured by different companies. Basically i think that memorex is the worst out of them all.

knowledgeson, i'm from montreal (canada) and i have been using those memorex for half a year now, verbatim are great but not necessary

i've burned about 2 whole spindles (of 25) and just bought a new of 50 dvds, i've failed a lot and in my experience it was because of the speed
also one other problem i had is that my desktop computer's burner broke, it couldn't move to 2nd layer (although imgburn gave me a pretty clear message as opposed to you) so i tried on my laptop
ever since i've been burning at 2.4x on my laptop and everything is super great, no failures

but did you save the burn logs? or do you remember the message?
everytime i had problems i would just put it on google ( put imgburn + error listed in imgburn)
it was extremely helpful

i would realy be able to help you more if you could show us the log

also, have you tried any other games?
i suggest you download games such as Call of duty 4, burn and see if you got the same (if you do get same unplayable disc message it means you didn't flash correctly)
by the way i suggested call of duty because it is an extremely popular game and was dled thousands of time and therefore i'm sure the game does work

it is the simplest you can find, steps aren't that complicated but to be sure everything went smooth i did it with a friend

I see now that i'd have to buy some stuff to flash me xbox. But i found a guy who'll do it for like a 20 bucks. I think it's safer to let him do it :)

but you know i think it's a good idea to pay someone, believe me paying 20$ is nothing compared to all the fun this is going to allow you

cause you shouldn't open your xbox unless you know what you're doing
(i did mine with a friend who already did it on 2 360's so it was kinda safer than alone)

Can anybody explain or link me to a tutorial that tells you how to manually stealth patch a game? Also, how can you check yourself to make sure the game has been stealth patched?

ok.. i've burned a memorex w/ BF: Bad Company and Racedriver: GRID w/o a problem.
today i've burned a memorex w/ Mercs2, w/ any character i can't pass by the "loading" screen. i've waited something like 3min. and, nothing.

somebody has a problem like that?

hi im trying to use imgburn to put this on a verbatim DVD DL and when i go to search for the .dvd file and i click it it says that it wont work because the file is too small
if anyone knows how i could fix this help would be apreciated thanks
