Here are a few ways to do that: 1) Do you have a PSP slim? If so buy the TV out cables and direct connect to your tv and play them that way. You can buy regular composite cables, svideo cables, and component cables. I recommend you buy the component cables if you have an HD capable tv. 2) Do you have an XBOX 360 and a PSP? Hook your PSP to your XBOX 360 via the usb mini b cable. Go to the media blade on your 360, select videos, change source, select portable device, navigate to your video. 3) If for some reason you don't have a PSP and you do have an XBOX 360 then you can just put the video files on any usb device and just connect them to your XBOX in the same manner as above. 4) You can also stream the video to your XBOX 360 using Windows Media player 11 or uShare on Linux. if for some crazy reason you are renaming them to MAQXXXXX.MP4 and placing them in /MP_ROOT/101ANV01 then you are correct in saying they will not work. You should be copying the entire folder to /VIDEO. If it doesn't play then you need to update your psp firmware like i said before. I changed my encoding method and my releases will no longer play in the /MP_ROOT/101ANV01 folder if for some reason you were using that.

it doesn't work there, i choose info about the file, and psp doesn't see te video codec. Just writes Video codec -
and i saw discription and can not understand what's wrong
About updating, i can't imagine that, that i have to have last custom firmwae to watch video.

if you are running m33 then just do a network update and it will update the m33 software to 4.01 and report back. works for me on a slim and a fat using 4.01 m33.

according to http://www.us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/psp it says: # New for 4.01: Playback of video content under settings (Video) has been improved for certain file types. So perhaps something has changed to allow this to play for me. let me know ok.

I would have to guess with version 4.01 they added CAVLC support to be more compatible with ipod mp4 files. I wouldn't be able to confirm that though unless I downgraded my psps and well I don't feel like it.

alright. I dont think anything I upload will work for you in future. update psp is like 5 min, just network update and is done.
