ya, they really fucked up. im pretty sure i wont spend any more money on them. spent enough buying their older albums that have been stolen over the years as it is. ill save the 20$ cd cost to get a hooker.
they should have spent more on producing that song... could have been a lot better if just recorded right. Then it had sounded more like the good old songs on Ride The lightning for example.
WTF? Why don't these people know who they are yet. 25+ years in the biz and they still sound like they don't have an identity. I wish Metallica would just be themselves for once and stop trying to please everybody. This song sounds like anyone could have done it. Nothing special about it at all. Wasted talent. Sad but true!

hot_rod, that's exactly what I'm saying, man. Metallica used to write masterpieces. Now, they just sound like everyone else. They don't have a signature that they put on a song anymore to say this is fucking Metallica. Any sorry ass band could have thrown these riffs and corny, simple lyrics together.
