i did the whole CMD prompt follwing every step carefully ...and even got to the point where it said "OK" and i did the copy and replace ..and then ran Tomtom 7 and same thing happened again ..it said :this is not the correct activation for the product USA AND CANADA:

My problem:
I am using the 720.1803 maps and try to get the key using the keygen, however, the meta.txt does not contain an entry for USA_and_Canada-14.meta and cant make the .dct file. Now Ive tried renaming the USA_and_Canada-14.meta to USA_and_Canada-7.meta and that didnt work. I also added an entry in the meta.txt mimicking the code for USA_and_Canada-7.meta

3A 4E 0F 5A 4A DC E7 81 9F 84 FF 69 52 86 11 C4 USA_and_Canada-14.meta"
that when used with the tomtom7 causes a freeze after selecting a voice.
I don't understand how anyone got this to work.
Has anyone had this problem? fixed it?

i got it working with my ipaq 210, but the only problem is, it breaks my bluetooth driver, which is very important in my case, lol since i cant connect to bluetooth gps receiver. i will try to hard reset, and then install tomtom7 first and see if bluetooth driver gets broken again. if it gets broken again, then i dont know what to do.

okay, i tried hard reset, tried bluetooth it worked, installed tomtom7, bluetooth drivers broke again. conclusion, this particular ripped version of tomtom7 dont work with ipaq 210. too bad:(

everything works, except one detail tt7 does nlt recognize my gps. ipaq hw6900. it says 'No GPS device'. any ideas?

I am getting the error message of Can't open keyfile meta.txt. I have tried the suggestions previously given for this error but i still get it. Can anyone help with this?

Didnt get option to do manual activation so I followed the directions posted by poypok

i have had the same problem on both your uploads,,
when i tried to move the North_America_720.1803 file to my storage card, as it extracts i get a corrupt file on "cline.dat ", tried to break it ,,nothing ,,i had this happen on both your tomtom uploads ,,,so i ran tomtom on my phone it say cant find maps....anyone got any ideas?

if you got Can't open keyfile meta.txt error, put the .meta file from your SD and all the files from tt7_stuff folder in another harddrive like e: and make sure it's not in any folder
than in cmd type: e:
and than type: tt7_keygen.exe e:\ XXXXXXXXXX

Hi - message to djkatarat, hope you get this.

A fix for the bluetooth problem:
The problem is that during install, TT replaces some Windows DLL's, and that causes the problem.

After install, rename (or delete) the following files in the \Windows folder of the PDA:

BtCoreIf.dll
BtSdkCE30.dll
ttn6bt2003.dll (name already suggests WM2003)

After renaming (I renamed them to *.DLL.renamed), the first two are replaced immediately by the correct DLL's:

BtCoreIf.dll (TT=122 Kb, WM6=114 Kb)
BtSdkCE30.dll (TT=186 Kb, WM6=239 Kb)

After renaming and a soft-reset, both Bluetooth and TomTom just worked fine !!


This fix works for TT6. I have not been able to try this on TT7 as I can't get a valid UID for my HP214. I noticed that you got TT7 to work with a HP210 - as the 214 & 210 is the same thing I wondered how you got things going.
