just buy a mac..
ok shit well i downloaded this, taking over a week and a half, and its shit. i downloaded a new codec and my other hd movies work with it.. but im stumped on this one.. its unwatchable with the audio lagging and catching up, skipping, whatever. FUCK ME i dont know what to do maybe the torrent is just shit? no?
lol a week? =] poor guy.. well thanks for this! I hope it will work for me :]
i had the same problem with other movies i got a new media play for my avi's because they lag when i use the divx shit and the codec for wmp. VLC seems to be the best video player for these files(http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). 2cents has no clue what he is talking about, vlc plays video at the same quality as the other players, you just have to learn how to use the deinterlace tools. hope this helps
hey guys. can someone seed? i'm downloading at 20-40kpbs. it'll take me a week to dl the whole thing. please seed and i'll seed it back!!! =)
I can't play these movies on my Popcorn Hour A-110 for some reason. Looks great on the computer though!
I don't know why anyone would get out of shape about not being able to play back a movie on a hardware based player. I have only downloaded one other 1080p movie and it looks amazing. I watch my movies on my 22" widescreen LCD. If I have company I'll connect my computer to my TV and watch my movies on my TV. HTPC fir the win! Seconded!
i got a 3.0Ghz single core, and geforce 7300GS....what should i change. does 3.0GHZ single-core = 2.4 dual core? ??? coz i cant play 1080p at all. i wonder if i just change the card which is easier would that make it work?
To Dioxholster : I would change that graphics card before changing anything else. I'm assuming you have an AMD (3200+ for 3.0Ghz I think), since P4 3ks weren't made for a while. It could also be the memory, but 1.5GB should be sufficient.

If you have an AGP video card and/or DDR memory, I'd change the whole system; it will probably cost the same thing. DDR2 just hit rock bottom...
Oh, and for the Dual to Single core comparison... It depends on a lot of factors including FSB, Cache, and Speed. For example, my E6600 (1066fsb/4m Cache/2.4 (per core) raped a Pentium D 3.4 I have it another rig.

And you wouldn't believe my E8400 clocked at 4ghz... Which still gets raped by my Q9550 :P

Truthfully, if you go mid through high-end, forget AMD. I bought an X2 5000+ last week for a low-end build and that's probably as low as I'll ever go... build cost less about 320$...
Hey, I'm getting only 3-4 seeders... any way to speed this up? Can't get past 7kb/s during the day... this is going to take a week...

Please seed, I'll do the same for another 4 days. Thanks
SEEDS PLEASE!
Alright, download ended up kicking in after a few days. The movie was great for the most part, but end packed-action scene stutters, which is quite disappointing. Sometimes the audio comes back on, but it lags really bad.

Am I missing any codecs or patches? I'm running VLC. Thanks.

Oh, and I ended up seeding about 20GBs, and will do more. I hope people will do the same. If nobody ever seeds what they download, this P2P thing will eventually fail due to the lack of support. Thanks.
53166, the problem is that you have a shit computer that can't play the file, learn2hardware.
CamTron118 - If you're having problems playing 1080p content, it's probably not your computer. It's more than likely a codec problem. They can cause .mkv files to shudder, or have audio and video sync issues. Try removing all of them and just loading the ones you need. Search the internet for the proper codec. vlc player and windows media player classic are my top picks, and then i only load the k-lite codec pack. I can play everything, and have no problems.
if you want a good player get Gom Player. it uses little resources while ur vid gets the rest. another good codec pack is ffdshow. vlc/windows media players use a fair bit of resources. another reason u could be lagging is cuz ur running several resource demanding apps at the same time.
