I managed to install everything ok, but whenever i try to load the game i get a black screen with my cursor in the middle and nothing else. what am i doing wrong?

doesnt work. I followed realunimportant's directions, and no luck. I just get a "The application Diablo II quick unexpectedly" and thats it when i start the game after full installation, and after patching it.

B.S. so much wasted time.

RealUninportant is right, just download this patch http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2/patches/Mac/D2%20Patcher%20112a%20(Carbon).zip and LOD will work perfectly.

i do what realunimportant says to do, but whenever the installation is about to finish, my computer says: "The file "/Volumes/Lord of Destruction/Support/Diablo II Expansion Data" could not be read, because an error -36 occurred. (InstallerFile::Read)". what should i do?

when i try to open anything accept the Diablo_II_Installer it says the file cannot be opened because the original environment is no longer supported. also after opening the Diablo_II_Installer it asked for the Diablo II install cd do i open that or do i need to burn it? Forgive me but im very new and the whole download thing.

so i got everything installed correctly and got the new patch and everything runs perfectly until i try to start a game. at this point the comp freezes half way through the loading screen with the door with red light. any solutions?

I followed realunimportant so it installed.
Installed the patch which is at 112a.
Still says the application quit unexpectedly.
I have mac 10.5.5 already
The BN forum says it still doesnt work for regular macbooks, but some people say it works for them.

I can burn disks 1,3 & 4...I get an illegal error message on disk 2...is my file corrupt or am I missing something? Any chance you might post just disk 2?...just for me..puhlease???
