I am running this right this very moment NO problems so everyone stop complaining. And for the record I am a capable computer person not a guru. So just get her done ! I had a external drive 200 GB that I used specially for a bootable DMG. setup. Useing "Disk Utility" I reformatted my external. I went to erase and erased it so that it was "osx Extended Journaled" no erase free space just erase. If u want os 9 drivers then you can. Once you have it formatted to "osx extended journaled" you need to go to the "Restore" tab and for "Source" pick your leopard dsk. img. For your destination choose the hard external HD you are using. Now click restore. When it is done go to "System Preferences " and go to "Startup Disk" chhose your external HD with thw 10.5 and click restart. You got the rest.
Downloaded but the .rar won't fully extract. Using stuffit, any suggestions?
dnkrhg:
Use "The Unarchiver".
Use "The Unarchiver".
Works great! Thanks to everyone for all their help and advice! To anyone downloading, take the time to read through the comments pages.....there's lots of fixes and alternative methods in their that will help you to get it working!! And, of course, thanks to loder!
Totally newb question but....i used my ipod as an external HDD to install, and after installation i went to delete the Leopard .dmg from it, and it asked me to put my password in (I do have a password, but i'm not usually asked to input it when deleting files!). Did anyone else get this, is it safe to delete it!?
