Crimson Tide Video: H264 Audio: TrueHD DD5.1 Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1 16:9 Enhanced Transfer Format: 1080p HD Widescreen imdb: 9.4 Director:Alastair Fothergill Seasons:1 | unknown more Release Date:27 January 2002 (USA) more Genre:Documentary more Plot Outline:Mammoth series, five years in the making, taking a look at the rich tapestry of life in the world's oceans. Plot Keywords:U Boat / Blue Whale / Dolphin / El Nino / Killer Whale more Awards:Won 2 Emmys. Another 4 wins & 12 nominations more User Comments:brilliantly shot more US TV Schedule:Wed. Aug. 15 8:00 PM ANIMAL Seasonal Seas #1.5 Wed. Aug. 15 9:00 PM ANIMAL Tidal Seas #1.7 more 50 min (8 episodes) Country:UK Language:English Color:Color Sound Mix:Stereo Certification:UK:E This series has a lot going for it with beautiful footage of the some of the most impressive underwater environments on this planet. Being a staggering five years in the making, one would be hard-pressed to expect any less. I did get the impression that some scenes from the first episode where repeated in the latter ones, which is naturally only a minor gripe. David Attenborough is great as a narrator and comments are informative, leaving enough room for one's imagination, and well spaced out, so that viewers get plenty of time to reflect upon the breathtaking imagery. If you get the opportunity try not to watch a translated version of this series. A definite must-see for anyone interested in the intricacies of our blue continents and easily the best documentary on this subject I've ever seen.
i got a 3.0Ghz single core, and geforce 7300GS....what should i change. does 3.0GHZ single-core = 2.4 dual core? ??? coz i cant play 1080p at all. i wonder if i just change the card which is easier would that make it work?
U dont have to use all theese codec pack`s-------and weird rouge prg.---- Just use media player classic : plays 1080 just fine- VLC player for the rest- I have never used codec packs.

Anyone have luck playing this on a PS3?
If you're having problems playing 1080p content, it's probably not your computer. It's more than likely a codec problem. They can cause .mkv files to shudder, or have audio and video sync issues. Try removing all of them and just loading the ones you need. Search the internet for the proper codec. vlc player and windows media player classic are my top picks, and then i only load the k-lite codec pack. I can play everything, and have no problems.
Help playing this on the PS:

Simply change the file extension to MPEG when the conversion is finished.

File seemed already converted, wasnt in mkv format. Didnt try to change ext as is, but ps3 didnt like it. Not sure its actually bd format, and HD won't fly on the PS. What the hell are all those extra part files? Looks like someone tried to rar it or something. Not bitchin, greatful to all in the community, but if you dont know what you're doin, your wasting good bandwidth. Btw if anyone knows how to convert HD to play on PS3, please report. Tried Saving Private RFyan HD with mkv2vob, but PS wouldnt play it. Thanks.
please! play it with Pover DVD or a mediaplayer that suport VC1. This is NOT a "264" release, and AVC codecs (264) will not help you out. This is coded in WC-1, and that is surported native in vista, but need a WC-1 installation in XP. Then it does not matter what player y use.
*******HERES EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW****
all this is for vista but probably works in xpsp2 also
-google 'haali media splitter' the second link is the one for the download, that will make this file work in windows media player
-it is NOT!!!!!! the underwater documentary about underwater life. it is about the planet earth and something to do with space and astronauts.
-it may be because i have too many programs open now but the video runs at a laggy/skippy pace (low fps) even when the video screen size is very small
most importantly, NOT THE UNDERWATER DOCUMENTARY!!!! there is a torrent for that on here, but its not HD
